Hi, I’m Samantha, a Veterinary Assistant here at Anza Animal Clinic. I was born in East L.A. and grew up all over—Boyle Heights, North Hollywood, and Palmdale. I've been passionate about animals all my life. But it was while visiting family in Costa Rica that I truly found my passion —especially for exotic animals. Being surrounded by the vibrant wildlife there sparked a deep curiosity and respect for creatures of all kinds, from reptiles and birds to the more unusual companions we’re lucky enough to treat here. Those experiences inspired me to one day work at the Rescate Wildlife Rescue Center in Costa Rica. At home, I’ve got my own little crew: a rescue dog named Lucario and a very chatty sun conure named Mojo. Whether it’s cats, dogs, reptiles, or birds, I love being part of a team that gets to care for such a wide variety of animals every day.
